Short Term Accommodation
Short Term Accommodation
Short Term Accommodation (STA) is an NDIS support that replaces the previous respite care for people with disabilities. It allows individuals to have a short stay away from home, providing opportunities to try new activities, make friends, and acquire new skills. Additionally, it offers a brief break for family members or caregivers from their caring responsibilities.
At Elyte Alliance, our Short-Term Accommodation properties serve as a home away from home for people with disabilities. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to engage in various activities, such as going to the movies, dining out, visiting local attractions, hitting the beach, or playing sports.
Our well-equipped and welcoming properties are designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. Our staff provides necessary support, including nutrition, meal planning, cooking, personal care, and medication assistance. If preferred, we can also provide support in your own home.
The duration of your stay in our properties is determined by the funding in your NDIS plan, allowing up to 28 days per year for Short Term Accommodation. Depending on your package, you can stay overnight, for a weekend, or for a holiday, based on your preference.
We offer Short Term Accommodation services for both children and adults, ensuring that individuals staying with us are grouped by age.
Short Term Accommodation is funded under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan. For longer-term accommodation options, alternatives like Supported Independent Living are more likely to be included in your plan.
